The 2001 Food Sanitation Certification courses have been set. The course and ServSafe Essentials textbook utilize the new 1999 Model Food Code from the Food and Drug Administration.

This course will provide successful participants a certification from the National Restaurant Association that is widely recognized. Virginia Cooperative Extension and the Virginia Department of Health are offering the 18hour ServSafe Course and Food Protection Manager Certification Exam.

One course will be held at the Orange Extension Office, 146 Madison - Road, public meeting room on six Tuesdays, starting Feb. 6.

The same course will also be offered in Warrenton at the Fauquier Extension Office, 24 Pelham Street, and six Wednesdays, starting Feb. 7. Both classes will be conducted from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
