The Rhapsody in White and the Baylor Bards, Choral Ensemble of Baylor University, Waco, Texas will appear at the Rappahannock County High School on Jan. 28. These touring units were organized in 1937 by their present conductor, Miss Martha Barkema. The personnel of the ensemble includes students from 15 states. Their repertoire includes sacred works from the masterpieces, classic and modern, and excerpts from choice Broadway hits, especially arranged for them. Admission is 75 cents per person. Sperryville Comer Store was advertising their annual January White Sale. Items included Cannon sheets for only $2.15; pillow cases for 85 cents a pair; sheet blankets for $1.29; drapery material, two yards for $1 and printed percale, three yards for $1. Pvt. Jimmy Sealock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Golden Sealock of Chester Gap left Tuesday for Camp Roberts, Calif, after spending a two week leave with his parents.

In a lead photo, Delegate George Beard discussed legislation issues with Rappahannock Commonwealth's Attorney Douglas Baumgardner in the Registrar's Office on Monday. Beard was at the courthouse to talk with interested dtiMBs on the upcoming short session of the Virginia General Assembly. Rappahannock County will receive $6,056 as its share of Alcoholic Beverage Control profits of $5,622,900 distributed to Virginia's counties, cities and towns for the first quarter of fiscal year 1980-81.
