A new ambulance has been purchased by the Spenyville Rescue Squad. The vehicle is a 1977 Dodge chassis with a Maxivan body by Wheeled Coach Corp of Florida and was secured from the Hearse and Ambulance Sales in Richmond. The ambulance is modem and frilly equipped with an electric blood pressure monitoring device and pulse monitor.lt contains a piped oxygen supply and has a radio and outside RA. system. The capacity of the unit is four on stretchers. It is orange and white, the new national emergency colors.
With little fanfare and no discussion, the Rappahannock Board of Zoning appeals voted unanimously last Thursday to deny the Harris Hollow Ski Area’s special use permit application to reopen as a year-round recreational facility.
y The Rappahannock National Bank at Washington elected its first woman director at its meeting Monday. Mrs. Mary L. Payne, who has been an employee of the bank since 1951, was named to the Bank’s board of directors.
