calls regarding vehicles caught in high water came in earlier that morning.
At 1:50 a.m. Ed Olmstead attempted to make his way through Harris Hollow Road when a mile north of Washington his Jeep Cherokee hit a flooded road.
"It was well under water," said Sherertz of the vehicle which he said had water up to its hoodline.
Olmstead did not require rescue.
Later, at 3:06 a^m. the Sheriff s Office received another call, this time just north of Flint Hill on Route 522. A Nissan Maxima had reportedly driven into water covering the road. The motorist continued driving but, said Sherertz, the water only got deeper.
