Painting Courthouse

The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisor. is soliciting bids from firms to repaint the non-masonry exterior surfaces of the Rappahannock County Courthouse. No prequalification is required for this contact.

The work includes the provision of all supervision, labor and materials to scrape and burn old “alligatored" paint on all exterior woodwork, reglaze windows where necessary and paint all wood surfaces with two coats high grade exterior paint (paint brand to be approved by owner). Project does ngt include painting of roof, but dge§ include painting exterior surfaces of bell tower and all non-aluminum gutters & downspouts. Bid should include prices for repair/replacement of rotten wood and cost is to be specified on a time and materials basis. Project is to commence as soon as weather conditions permit, but is to be completed not later than December 1, 2003

All bids should be submitted in a letter clearly identifying the company providing the service, be signed by the principal of the firm, and shall note any exclusions or limitations The basis for the bid shall also be stated; for this agreement, a final and complete finished price shall be stated. All bids must be received at the County Administrator's Office, Old Extension Office, 290 Gay Street, PO. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 by Friday, October 3, 2003. by 3:00 PM. at which time they will be opened and publicly read

The terms of Competitive Sealed Bidding as set forth in the Virginia Pubic Procurement Act shall apply The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
