Fauquier County Public School system is recruiting for the full-time position of Energy Educator/Manager. This position is responsible for establishing a program to promote energy conservation at all levels of the school division. Duties include advising, assisting, and making recommendations to the division regarding alternate energy sources, consumption and general energy conservation measures; preparing procedures for efficient utilization of energy sources; assisting with the design and maintenance of the programming for computerized energy management systems to insure operating efficiency; monitoring state and national energy policy trends; and providing input on capital projects related to energy management and the purchase of any products that affect energy consumption.
Qualified applicants should have a thorough knowledge of energy management and conservation. The ability to analyze and interpret technical data and communicate said data to individuals with nontechnical backgrounds is needed. The ability to develop and implement policy and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required. A related bachelor's level degree and/or equivalent combination of training, education, or experience is preferred. Minimum staring salary is $47,548.80.
