Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Burke of Huntly announce the marriage of their daughter. Sherry Burke to George R. “Skip” Doane .Jr., son of Helen Doane and the late George R. Doane of Louisa, Va.

The wedding took place on June 26 at a private home in the Currituck Club in Corolla. N. C. Pastor Jon Heddleston officiated at the sunset ceremony. A candlelight reception and dinner dance was enjoyed poolside on the Currituck Sound.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Sherry’s honor attendant was her sister, Ashleigh Burke of Huntly and her best friend, Diana Jennings of Charlottesville.

The groom s mother was her son’s best person. The ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Austin| Myers of Roanoke and the flower girl was Emily Burke of Mechanicsville, niece of the bnde.

The bride is a graduate of Radford University and is a high school math teacher at
