A. Burke Hertz. 82, died Sept. 18 at his residence in Flint Hill.
Mr. Hertz was born in Brooklyn, N. Y. and grew up in Falls Church. Va.
He attained his Bachelors Degree from The American University in 1946. graduated from Georgetown University Law School in 1948 and was admitted to the Virginia Bar later that year.
Mr. Hertz served with distinction from 1980 until his retirement in 1995 as Judge of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Coprt in Fauquier, Loudoun and Rappahannock countries.
During the 1950s. Judge Hertz founded and directed the first Virginia Little League Baseball program in Fairfax County.
He was a former chairman of the Falls Church Democratic Committee, a member of the 10th District Democratic Committee and the Virginia State Democratic Central Committee.
