Yard andr art sale

There will be a yard and art sale at Hearthstone School on Oct. 25 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Musical instruments, art work, home furnishings, clothing and tools. Vendors are welcome. Bring your own table. Ten percent of profits to benefit Hearthstone. Call 987-9212.

Town Hall Meeting

On Monday Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Mark Obenshain, candidate for the 26th State Senate District, will hold a Town Hall meeting at the Rappahannock County Library to meet with citizens and talk about the issues that face Virginia. Everyone is invited. For more information call (540) 437-3126.

Halloween party

Noel Johns and her friends at Trinity Episcopal Church are hosting a Halloween party on Friday Oct. 31 in the parish hall from 6 to 8 p.m. All pre-school and elementary age children are invited. Youngsters will be treated to apple bobbing, a Monster Mash cake walk, fortune telling and Halloween bingo. Prizes will be awarded for best and most creative costumes. Hot dogs, drinks, and chips and Halloween candy treats will be provided.

CCLC annual auction

The Child Care and Learning Center will hold its eighth annual Fall Auction and Party on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Washington School on Mt. Salem Avenue in Washington. An admission fee of $20 includes food and libations. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for refreshments and browsing in the Tag Sale Room, bidding on silent auction items and getting a close look at the items up for live auction at 7 p.m.

Sufi dance postponed

The Sufi dance scheduled for Friday, Oct. 24 at the Washington Town Hall has been postponed to Friday, Nov.
