Ever since a. group of prim 40 to 60 year old women from northern England made a tastefully nude 1999 calendar showing them doing house chores, to raise money for leukemia, the idea has been copied elsewhere.

Colorado firefighters, elderly Southern belles in South Carolina, female wool spinners in -Maine and a group of Vermont men have raised funds for such causes as environmental non-profit groups, new community centers, breast cancer and just this week for a local school district by a group of Oregon farmers.

In Oregon, as in other places, the calendars have been met with far more enthusiasm than complaints.
