PUBLIC HEARING Planning Commission PROPOSED Tree Conservation Ordinance
Town of Washington In accordance with 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, on Monday, October 27, 2003, at 7:30pm at the Town Hall in Washington, VA, the Planning Commission of the Town of Washington shall hold a public hearing on a proposed Tree Conservation ordinance. The revised draft ordinance provides a means for the designation of heritage, specimen, memorial or other desirable trees on public and private property, and provides for means for their conservation, as well as for penalties for violation of the ordinance and for replacement of removed trees. All interested persons are invited to attend and to make comment. A copy of the ordinance is available for public inspection during, normal business hours at both die Town Hall and at the County Administration and Zoning Office, both on Gay Street in the Town of Washington. .5
