The Rappahannock County Soccer Association continued its spring season May 15 with impressive wins and spirited play from some young athletes.
Coach Anders Drew’s U-8 Panthers beat Coach Jim Landolt’s Madison Team 7-3 last Saturday. Rapp quickly gained the lead and stayed there with good defense, great passing and impressive goal scoring kicks. Daniel Schlosser, Emily Massie each scored a goal. Brittany Adams scored her very first goal in the second quarter and nearly scored another. Klaire Gubler and Ben Estes showed excellent defense preventing Madison from shooting the ball on goal. Taylor Ordile, Tymbor Lee, Kayla McGhee and Stephanie Nicholson showed great speed attacking the ball. Trey Swindler and Jarrett Stoner each had two great goals sealing another win for the Panthers.
This Saturday, Coach Drew’s Panthers take on Coach Pierson’s Madison team in an exciting rematch.
