Forbush, schooled at the Corcoran, is a Hall of Fame artist with the Virginia Thoroughbred Association. At her studio in Flint Hill, she teaches an active group of amateur artists, young and old, in addition to creating commissions and cover art for various horse events around the nation.
“They are amazing,” Forbush said of Austin and Tyler. “They came here knowing nothing about oil painting. I put them in a class with a group of older ladies, and they just come in here, *yes, ma’am,’ and do their work.
