At their May 16 meeting, the Rappahannock planning commissioners agreed to advertise a public hearing for May 13 on rezoning the old mill property just outside the Washington town limits from agriculture to commercial. Furniture craftsman Peter Kramer told the planners that he and his partner, Washington, D.C. attorney Joel Fisher, have a contract to buy the old mill and snack bar building with approximately three acres. “I’d like to restore the old mill but it needs economic
