Presgraves grew up in Jenkins Hollow and remembers attending church there as a young child. Her mother, Martha Weakley had commented to her daughter in recent years about the need to preserve the old church.
Many of the 35 people attending Sunday’s meeting had fond memories of worshipping, attending revivals, enjoying outdoor picnics with Martha Weakley’s wonderful food, and listening to Nina Sisk’s beautiful playing of the old organ, still inside the building.
