hannock faced off with Fluvana County. Fluvana was the only other undefeated team in the tournament. It was a wellplayed, tight game and remained scoreless until Fluvana broke out on top after four innings to lead 1-0. Rappahannock fought back with grit and determination to score three runs in the top of the fifth inning with Matt Case scoring on a past ball and a two run home run by Bull Trollinger. Rappahannock scored two more in the sixth inning to tally the 5- 1 win.
Leading Rappahannock’s offensive attack were Matt Case with a single and a run scored; Taylor Yowell with a single and a run scored; Sammy Purdom with a triple, a run scored and an RBI; Patrick Hanberry with a single and a run scored; Conner Miller with a single a run scored and one RBI; Bull Trollinger with a Home Run and two RBIs; and Aidan Demolli with one RBI. Coy Ferrell pitched five masterful innings shutting down the potent Fluvana attack, and John Lezcano recorded the save with a brilliant sixth inning.
