Summer workshops
Headwaters’ Summer Workshops for children aire just around the corner. Over 14 fun workshops, including mountaineering, drama, tile making, basket weaving and dog grooming, will be offered for two weeks starting July 19. Civil War Roundtable '■
Col. John Mosby will visit the Blue Ridge Civil War Roundtable on Tuesday, July 20 for its monthly meeting at the Rappahannock County Library. It is open to members and non-members who share an interest in Civil War history. Jeffrey F. Smith of King George, Va., a living history reenactor will play the part of Mosby and talk about his life and exploits. Rappahannock Free Clinic
The Rappahannock Free Clinic will be open July 21 at the ; Rappahannock Health Department in Washington. Patient registration is 5:30-6:30 p.m. There is a shortage of nurses to assist at the clinic. Those willing to help (it is not necessary to be an RN) are urged to call the clinic at 675-2525 or 3470394.
50th anniversary parade
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company will celebrate its 50th Anniversary Parade on July 23 by "Honoring All Who Serve." County military veterans and current service members are invited to ride on a special float or join the parade with friends and loved ones in their own cars.
