Built with wood milled and hauled 'off Hazel Mountain, the building is a simple one room structure, still furnished with old pews, an organ and a wood stove. Because of damage to the roof, the interior has started to deteriorate.

The foundation, built on piles of field stones is slipping and the walls are starting to bow outward. There is a sense of urgency that some temporary repairs be made as a stop gap measure before full restoration can start in earnest.

Most attendees at Sunday’s meeting were in agreement that the church be restored and resume operation as a congregation. One interested private party would like to use the building for a studio, with a modest living section. However, the plan at this point is to proceed with the restoration as a church. Several working groups were formed.
