A medium-size, seemingly curious, black bear has a lineof-travel between the field at the intersection of Castleton View and Scrabble Roads, and Midnight Lane. Several afternoons, the “very cute” bear has been spotted romping in the field.
It peeks over, jumps the fence and proceeds on its merry way up Midnight Lane, stopping for a visit at the houses, along the way, to eat such snacks as cat food.
There have been several “close” encounters, but when startled, the bear runs up the lane towards the mountain top.
