• The Rappahannock County courthouse and other county offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7. • The Rappahannock National Bank will be closed Sept. 6 and will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 7. • The Rappahannock News’ offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 6 in observance of Labor Day and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 7. • On Wednesday, Sept. 8 the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors will meet at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street, and again at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School auditorium. See agenda Page A8. • On Wednesday, Sept. 8 the Washington Town Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall on Gay Street to discuss such issues as wastewater, the reservoir and a traffic survey.
