the law back in 1979—under which he was sentenced— allows one day “of good time” off the sentence for every two days a person serves. A prisoner does have to remain on good behavior.
In an agreement reached in court between both sides, there will be no more prosecutions in the case. Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke elected not to prosecute the remaining charges on which the jury was hung. And Pullen’s attorney Blair Howard, accepted the 12 month sentence, and said that there would be no appeal.
“No more trials. . it’s over,” Howard said later in an interview.
