From Friar’s Fat Boy to Farbuck’s Coffee, the movie does a splendid job of poking fun at the fast food industry. The film is loaded with surprises from Pinocchio doing a rendition of Tom Cruise in “Mission Impossible” to Pussin-Boots reenacting the shower dance from “Flashdance” before belting out “Livin’ La Vida Loca.”
While the animation work is great, it’s the actors and their subtle, complex vocal performances that make us care about there fairy tale characters. “Shrek 2” is all about fantasy, but its characters are rousingly, affectingly real—and very, very funny.
“Shrek 2,” another don’tmiss gem from DreamWorks, is acceptable for all ages. It is rated PG with run time of 93 minutes.
