Robin Estes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Estes of Washington, won a pig at the Warren County Fair Saturday night when she participated in the greased pig contest with about 15 other youngsters. She had to catch the greased pig and put him in a sack without any help.
E.M. Jones, Clerk of the Court of Rappahannock County, attended a conference of county officials held Monday through Wednesday in Charlottesville.
Mrs. WJL Williamson and the ladies of Bromfield Parish were in high gear drying flowers in preparation for their annual house tour Oct. 31 through Nov. 1. The attic of Mrs. Williamson's house in Woodville was full of drying flowers that will be made into arrangements to decorate homes for the fall house tour and dried arrangement sale.
1 Robert Priest, three year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Priest of Amissville, showed off a three pound, three ounce tomato that his mother pulled from their garden.
