nentiy in U Keete s me and work. This quiet and stillness of the southwest, or of winters in the Blue Ridge, allows her to focus and to feel and to create. Her love of nature is evident in her works as they are organic, poetic, contemplative, extremely sensitive and yet still plE^yful.
Some of Nash’s watercolors evoke bone and earth and some of the more brilliantly colored works evoke sun and fire and the arid landscape of the southwest. But throughout, one senses an extraordinary sensibility at work. Through layers of paint, and allowing for the medium to begin its own journey, Nash then “choreographs” the paint’s journey with great sensitivity and a dream-like intensity.
