As we approach Labor Day, summer vacations are nearly over, and our attention and energies will again become focused on our careers and our jobs. As we make this transition. It may be a time when we reassess our progress In and our satisfaction with our workpiece. "Do 1 have adequate |ob security? Am I meeting my employer’s expectations? Am I pleased with my own performance?”
St. Augustine, a fourth century theologian, spoke about reassessment "If you would attain to what you are not yet you must always be displeased by what you are For where you were pleased with yourself, there you have remained , keep adding, keep walking, keep advancing.”
As we continue to strive, we must reassess our spiritual progress as well. It takes a strong spirit to respond to the challenges we must meet. Therefore, God has said In Exodus 20:9-10.... “Six days you shall labor, and do all your work: the seventh day Is a Sabbath to the Lord your God.” In His wisdom, our Heavenly Father knew we world need the spiritual energy that comes from weekly worship.
