Ride series begins

The Old Dominion Hounds will host three spring trail rides, starting this Saturday, April 26. This week’s ride is at The Field House in Hume. The May 10 ride is at Houyhnhmn Farm in Hume; the May 31 ride is at Hunters Rest in Flint Hill.

All rides start at 10 a.m. and are “walking only,” making them a good schooling opportunity for young horses or green riders.

The cost is $20 for adults and $10 for kids under 12. Riders are asked to bring a dish to share for a picnic that follows each ride. Directions are at (540) 364-3995.

Trailblazers show

' The Trailblazers will host their annual fun show Sunday, May 4 at Grove in Warrenton. Classes begin at 9 a.m. and will include English and western pleasure, gaited, trail, jumping, driving and games.
