Supervisors further cut the proposed school budget. If that view prevails.. the school board will have no choke but to cut academic programs and reduce the salary increase preposed to hold our current teachers and attract new teachers.
A careful and thoughtful review of the county budget shows a steady increase in total expenditures. No one should be surprised by this fact. Existing: services need more funds to fulfill their mandates and mission and new services are needed to respond to the needs of the citizenry Further, the country experiences annual inflation which in turn is reflected in the budgeting process. No group wants its ox gored but it is not possible to respond positively to the county's needs and cut taxes, h is intellectually dishonest to Haim that it can be done.
