Even at $6,440, our tuition is second in surrounding counties only to Fauquier. How that can be construed as advertising is a bit hard to understand. ft’s even harder to understand how Mr. Cordani transcends the chasm between the School Board estimate of two additional students and the estimate of 30 that he disingenuously attributes to Dr. Chappell.
So why should anyone listen to Me Cordani? Rather than finding- all the fat in the budget that the Cordani and Junk team claim is there, a State Efficiency Review team of competent professionals found no significant areas of waste while recommending increased spending m several areas.
While I wish we could increase spending in several areas, the School Board plan to keep spending at or below last year's level and reduce the school’s share of the county budget by 5 percent is prudent. Please join me in urging the Board of Supervisors to stqqport the School Board budget.
