A woman called the Rappahannock County Sheriff's Office on April 16 to report that several items had beat stolen from her home on Russell Lane in Amissville.
According to the sheriff's report, she said she was missing 100 Fsrcocet pills, a gold band, a diamond ring, a sixdiamond cluster on a wide gold band mid a mothers ring with five stones in it.
She told the sheriff's office that some of the items have been missing far as long as two months.
SheriffConnie Smith said there was no sign of a breakin at the house. The sheriff's office has a suspect in the case, but has not made any arrests. Smith said.
A high-speed chase on April 1? in Castieton resulted in several charges against a local mmn.
According to ths Virginia State Police, the chase began around 10:22 p.m. when State Trooper Phillip Thomus observed a dark Cadillac crossing into the left lane of Vlewtown Road. The vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Castleton resident Mark Justin Komar, also had missing tuil lights, according to the report. Thomas activated his cruisers lights and siren, and Komar sped oft the report said. The 6.7-mile chase proceeded down several roads in ths Castieton area and reportedly lasted about eight minutes. The State Police report said the maximum

chase was 114 miles per hour. Thomas' pursuit ended on Laurel Mills Road and Komar was apprehended without farther incident. The Castieton man was charged with a felony for eluding police; he was also charged with driving under the influence and miming tail lights.
