In Europe, speed limits are posted in kilometers per hour which equate to roughly .62 miles per hour. On the signs, the numbers are higher in Europe, but the speed is the same - the measure of distance traveled over time (90 kph = 55.8 mph.) The unit of measurement is a matter of preference.
One might ask: Do drivers in Europe have an advantage in speed over drivers in America?
