They had looked first in Napa Valley, but family was the East Coast and since they wanted to start a family their own they started looking in Virginia.
They drove over 1,000 miles, “but when we came Rappahannock County, we were awestruck," said John. ' “
They found the Foster Harris House when they asked their Realtor to call around to area B&Bs and see if there were any who were ready to sell. Then proprietors Patrick and Rita Corbett were thinking it was time to retire, said John, and so John and Diane found their dream right here in Washington.
They now also have Finn, their three year-old son, who completes the dream they first discussed five years ago in Santa Barbara.
