As Diane, 41, explained, they kept a three-nng binder of various recipes that guests frequently requested. After three years of people asking for recipes, they decided to make a cookbook.

“This started off as a much simpler project,” said John. At first they envisioned something maybe a step up from a church cookbook in terms of design and feel, but certainly nothing too “haute cuisine."

What they ended up with, was a little of both. Delicious food, gorgeously presented, but very often made from ordinary ingredients one could find in any kitchen. Sort of like mom in a special engagement as executive chef at the Inn at Little Washington.
