Once you ve pared down your list of the types of camps you are considering, start comparing costs. If, for example, your child is committed to playing sports at camp this summer, try to locate as many qualified sports camps in your area as possible and find out what they all cost.
If you find one you like much more than the others and it happens to cost more, contact the camp and find out if they would be willing to give a discount or scholarship.
The most important components of a summer camp experience for your child are having fun and building confidence, so be sure to listen to your child, do a bit of research and trust your instincts. And remember, you can’t do it all in just three months.
