On Saturday, March 14, at 8 p.m./the Theatre at Washington, Virginia will present a program in anticipation of 8t. Patrick’s Day on March 17.
Representing the next generation of Irish musicians, the youthful duo Fiona and Bronwyn will entertain on flute and fiddle, and with song and dance. Though young, these talented musicians are steeped in Ireland’s long musical heritage.
Fiona Balestrieri began to study Irish dance at the O’Rourke-Tighe school at the age of nine and has appeared in several Irish dance shows.
She is apprentice dance and flute/whistle instructor at the Blue Ridge Irish Music School. She has twice visited Ireland on study tours. ,
