Flint Hill resident Sandra Welborn Renzy recently was elected president general of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, an 11,500 member patriotic, hereditary society founded in 1915.
As chief executive officer, the president general is its official spokesperson. The national headquarters is located in a 23- room 1884 historic house in Washington, D.C.
Members are lineal descendants of an ancestor who lived and served prior to 1701 in one of the original colonies prior to the founding of the United States of America.
