Gathering place
The event was created by Dontez Harris to support and respect the long-held dream of James Russell that his home would be a community gathering place. To that end, Mr. Russell has built Sperryville's only outdoor model train exhibit that will be running during the day These are massive LGB electric powered locomotives made in West Germany. LOB stands for Lehmann Gross Bahn which translates as Lehmann Large Railroad. Reasonably accurate replicas of the real railroad equipment, the models are made to a scale of 1/22.5th of the size of the real thing.
