Thirty households representing 54 individuals were served at the Food Pantry last week, according to Ellen Berg, volunteer and publicity coordinator for the Plant-ARow program.
Gardeners donated more than 150 pounds of fresh produce. Lettuce and turnips cabbage and potatoes made up the bulk of donations, but there was a selection of leafy greens and herbs, as well. Volunteers also contributed six dozen eggs, plus “store bought” bananas, lemons, and canned goods.
