Dudley Nicolson Semmes of Indian Run Farm in Flint Hill, Virginia, died peacefully at home on Friday, June 5,2009. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, David H. Semmes, two daughters, Deryn Semmes of Flint Hill, VA, and Stratton Semmes of Atascadero, CA, and two grandchildren, Brooke and Clayton Hatcher. She was predeceased by her son David Gibson Semmes. A celebration of her life will be held later this year. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy be sent as donations to Hospice of the Rapidan, PO Box 1715, Culpeper, VA 22701.
