Concerned
taxpayer
to run for
supervisor

Tom Junk of Sperryville may be a concerned taxpayer but this time he's moving to make decisions instead of expressing concern. Junk is a candidate for the Board of Supervisors seat for the Piedmont District.
For a time. Peter Hitchen - who withdrew almost as quickly as he announced saying that the "timing wasn’t nght" - was the only candidate facing off against Mike Biniek of Belle Meade Farm in this fall’s election.
That's when Junk made his decision to run for the seat formerly held by Eddie Wayland. It is Junk’s first run at elected office.
As Junk said in an interview, “A one-man race doesn't bring out any ideas."
With Junk, voters have a known quantity. Junk frequents many county government meetings, served on the Planning Commission for 12 years, and is co-founder of Rappahannock County Concerned
