“But we’ve always been looking for ways to reduce waste,” says Gary Schwartz. “We have very nice linens and towels, and they’re washed after each use” and are constantly being replaced with new linens, he says. “So we had this stockpile of used towels, and we called RAWL (the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League) and asked if they could use some towels. Absolutely,’ they said ”
