Garden Club will visit the specialized maple nursery owned by Henry and Frances Eastwood located on Long Mountain Road. Anyone interested in attending with the club members should contact Mary Collins 540-9879030 for details.

Friday, Sept. 18

• Rappahannock County High School Marching Band will travel to Woodstock, to perform a show with the 400 member strong Marching Royal Dukes of James Madison University dunng a football game at Central High School. RCHS is one of only four high schools selected to participate. P-e-game performances begin at 7 p.m., and will follow-up with a half-time show. The game features the Broadway Gobblers vs. the Central Falcons and begins at 7:30 p.m. RCHS Band Director David DeBoer invites the Rappahannock community to attend and show support for the band.

• Open House hosted by the Rappahannock National Bank, 46 p.m., also on Saturday, Sept. 26. 9 a.m. -12 p.m., for our Child Safety Open House. The Rapoahannock County Shenff's Office will be on hand to perform child safety seat inspections and provide child identification cards. Remember, September is Child Safety Month.
