Loudoun County s Department of Community Corrections is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full time, grant funded Pretrial Officer position to be responsible for supervising a specialized caseload of pretrial defendants as required by the magistrate, Court. Loudoun County, and DCJS standards Attends court proceedings as required. Maintains accurate automated PTCC notes and case files Performs substance abuse assessments and referrals Position requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor s Degree in Criminal Justice. Sociology. Psychology or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of work related experience within the criminal justice or counseling field. Experience working with Domestic Violence offenders is preferred Must possess a valid Driver s License. Must be willing to supervise criminal defendants some of whom have a history of violence.
