Atkinson presided as stockholders of Planters Bank qnd Trust company conferred in annual session and re-elected all present officers. These are J. W. Dunnington. president of the board: C. W. Hart, president. J. N. Carter, vice president, and J. C. Bondurant. cashier. Assets All-Time High Bank officers reported total assets at all-time highs as of the close of the year. Combined Statements of the three show total assets of $12,614,574. De mand deposits totaled $5,921,693. while time deposits, mostly sav ings. had reached $5,250,287. Remaining assets consisted of loans, real estate holdings, cor porate and state obligations and .bank premises. Together, those closely con nected with bank operation all agreed, the facts presented to stockholders convert 1952 into a strong and satisfactory operating year. Community Service To Offer Prayers For New President A community service, to offer prayers for the new president of the United States, will be held in John Memorial Episcopal Church here January 20. The service jointly arranged by the Parmville Council of Church Women and the Ministerial Asso ciation. will commence at 11:55 a. m. Dwight D. Eisenhower will be inaugurated as president on the day of the service m ceremonies in the National Capital. Members of the Council of Church Women will meet prior to the service, at 11:30 a. m.. for a brief business meeting, which will include installation of new offi cers.
