The monthly meeting of tne ' Darlington Heights School 4-H Club was held Wednesday. Jan. j 7. Mrs. Baldwin talked to the club about the National 4-H Club Center which has been established in Chevy Chase. Md. The club re ceived a certificate for the contri butions made to this center. Mrs. Baldwin also discussed with the girls the proper ways to hang pictures and showed them how to make shoe bags. Mr. Speir talked to the club about the meaning of 4-H work. He also discussed with the boys the best ways to kill rats and mice and the proper planting of trees. Mrs. Howard Shorter is receiv ing treatment at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Richmond. W. L. Dickenson had as his guests last Wednesday evening his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Dickenson, of Greensboro. N. C. Mr .and Mrs. Jim Coleman and family have returned to their home, in Danville, 111., after visit ing Mrs. Coleman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. I. Shorter. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hamilton are visiting their son and daugh ter-in-law. Major and Mrs. Foster Hamilton, in Upper New York State. The Darlington Heights Bridge Club met with Mrs. Clarence Welch Wednesday evening. Jan. 14. Mrs. Margaret Watson motored to Lynchburg Sunday afternoon where she visited her brother, Bill Hunter, who is recuperating from an appendectomy
