Ashby The WSCS of Thomas Chapel met in the home of Mrs. W. E. Bagby Thursday afternoon. Fol lowing an extended business meeting. Mrs. L. J. Dawson led the January program on "Modem Samaritans." Hot coffee, case and ice cream were served. Those present included Mrs. E. C. Wal ton. Mrs. E. C. Harrison, Mrs. L. , B. Garrett, Mrs. L. J. Dawson. Mrs. C. G. Sanderson. Mrs. E. j Ehrhnrt, Miss Ola Walton. Mrs. W. E. Bagby and Mrs. W. P. San derson Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Dawson and Sonny, of Martinsville, wer^ week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Dawson. Other young people returning home for the week end included Bobby Sanderson, of RPI, Mr. and Mrs. Iceland Walton. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Webb and Mike. Miss Wyland Smith. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Sanderson and Jimmy, all of Richmond. GUINEA Mesdames R. E. Garnett, W. D. Walker and Charles Womack Jr., were Friday afternoon guests of Mrs. Frances Ligon .of Farmville. They also visited W T. Crowder, at the Southside Hospital.
