FLINT HILL GARDEN CLUB MET WITH MRS J. M. SETTLE
Mr. Faver, one of the park rangers, was the guest speaker of the Flint Hill Garden Club meeting at the home of Mrs. James M. Settle in Flint Hill Wednesday afternoon. Some beautiful colored slides of the flowers and animals in the park area were shown by Mr. Faver during his lecture. The program was under the direction of Mrs. Norman J. Flythe.
Exhibits on display were on forced flowers, consisting mostly of forced forsythia and euonimous and flower bulbs.
Mrs. J. P. Cook’s arrange received a score of 97 points, as the highest rating, and the exhibits of Mrs. John S. Browning and Mrs. R. H. Dulaney tied for second place with a score of 95 points.
The last week in April was set aside by the club members as the yearly clean-up week.
Several of the members have purchased tickets to attend the National Flower Show in Washington, D. C., this month.
