Glee Club News

The Glee Club met March 7 under the direction of Mis. Catherine Cahen. We worked on Fred Waring^s arrangement of the “Battle Hymn” and "The Whiffenpoof Song.”
The Glee Club is planning and rehearsing parts for a radio program to be given March 16 on radio station WFTR at 8:00. In addition to our musical numbers there will bie a play entitled “The Story of the Unfinished Symphony.”

We are very proud of our boys, who won the trophy in the intramural tournament. Edwin Scroggins, aur captain received the trophy with pleasure. On that victorious day the girls decided to give them a party the following Friday. We planned the party and did not tell the boys until Friday morning. The party was held Friday from 2:30 to 3d30, and we had a wonderful time. We served refreshments then jplayed the radio the remainder of the time.^Wc were proud to have as our guests Mrs. Cahen and Mr. Link. Mrs. Rurford and Mrs. Miller were given a plate in their rooms. We also ga\'e the. Senior girls a ‘nibble’ of cake.
We had tw'o on the second honor roll.
Because of illness, Joyce Spicer has b|een absent several days. Glad to have you back, Joyce.
Leland, “Husky’’ and “Gab” ar.e out for baseball. Come on, boys, make the first team.
Our girls are looking forward to softball season now.
