Home Economics
The Junior Home Economics students are now learning the cits of meat and planning ways of cooking them. They have just completed a course in bread making.
The Seniors are sewing and many of them have made'several dresses, shirts, blouses etc. We are all looking fbrward to seeing a parade of fashions. 1
The freshman girls are also sewing and are rapidly .progressing under the guidance of Miss Owen. The Sophomore group has been divided into 2 groups. Group A is sewing and Group B is making a study of meat cuts.
The recipe of the week is:
POPOVERS
2 cups of flour
3 t. baking powder
1 t. of salt
2 t. sugar
1 evp milk
4 tbs. of melted butter
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Beat eggs until light. Add milk and butter, add to flour mixture all at once. Stir only enough to dampen flour. Drop by spoonfuls in buttered muffin pan, bake 15 to 20 minutes. 400 degrees.
