Mr. W. W. Lewis, of the VPI Agronomy Department visited the county on Tuesday of last week, in preparation for the outlining of corn hybrid experiments to be conducted in Rappahannock this year, through the co-operation of Charles H. Estes on the farm which he recently purchased from Mr. E. M. Schwartz, where 16 different hybrids will be tested. The planning of each hybrid to be repeated four times on the test plot.
In addition Mr. Lewis discussed with D. D. Miller his pasture improvement demonstration to be conducted in co-opelration with the Virginia-North Carolina Plant Food Institute.
