Consolidated School
The .school hoard in session last night unanimously voted to con-* .solidate the high .-rucols at Washington, hereafter to he referred to as Rappahannock County High School, for the session of 195051, and affected the administrative set-up of the consolidated school.
Following a long period' of discussion, a series of resolutions created the consolidation of the two high schools at Washington, Rappahannock County High School, with a curriculum including a commercial department with typing and shorthand. The fifth, sixth, and seventh grades of Washington and Sperryville will he consolidated and hereafter he referred to as Sperryville'Elemer. - tary School.
Firmly toe school board reiterated that each hoard member, separately and collectively, would affirm its position to stand by all principals and teachers appointed to teach in Rappahannock county public schools for the better education of the county’s children.
The board took the stand to carefully consider certification of teachers and the recommendations of the school supervisors in teacher selection.
